Energy in Central and Eastern Europe

Energy in Central and Eastern Europe

The regularly maintained website www.enercee.net provides information for anyone interested in the energy sector in the CEE countries. The information is organized by country and shows the country's energy policy, developments in supply and demand in the energy sector, the situation of renewable energies in the country and efforts to promote green electricity and support renewable energies. The targets in the cross-country information show the countries' targets for achieving the EU target. Non-EU members also specify targets in an attempt to align themselves with EU requirements. Information on renewable energies has been presented in the form of a map since 2013.

The provision of information in the project is supported by cooperation with experts in the countries as well as cooperation with experts in international organizations, including UNIDO and the Energy Community.

Based on its expertise in the enerCEE project, the Austrian Energy Agency cooperates with REN21 and has been a contributor to the Renewables Global Status Report for several years, which is available at www.ren21.net/gsr.
